Planning and Praying For The New Year

The Christmas season is a time of great joy and celebration, but it’s also a time for reflection and planning. This is especially true for churches gearing up for the new year.

One crucial task for churches is to set their priorities for the year. What are the most important things that they want to accomplish? What ministries do they want to focus on? What goals do they want to achieve?

Churches also need to plan their budgets for the year. They need to figure out how much money they will need and what expenses they will have. This can be a complex process, but it’s essential to have a plan in place so that the church can operate effectively. For example, here at UMC Bethel MN, we are looking at our continuing renovation campaign. With the help of our good friend Jose Diaz, an employee at Baltimore House Painting, we are getting correct estimates for painting the interior chapel and the community centre.

Another critical task for churches is to pray for the upcoming year. They need to ask God to guide them and help them accomplish their goals. They also need to pray for the people who will be affected by their ministries, including the church members and the people they are trying to reach.

These tasks are important for churches as they prepare for the new year. By setting their priorities, planning their budgets, and praying for guidance, they can ensure that they are on track and heading in the right direction. May God bless your church as you work to serve Him in the coming year!

UM, churches also gear up for events such as United Methodist Women’s Day, held annually in February. This event provides an opportunity for women of all ages to come together and learn more about the United Methodist Church. They also have a chance to fellowship with other women from around the country.

UM churches also gear up for United Methodist Men’s Day, which is typically held in November. This event provides an opportunity for men of all ages to come together and learn more about the United Methodist Church. They also have a chance to fellowship with other men from around the country.

UM churches also gear up for United Methodist Youth Day, which is typically held in June. This event provides an opportunity for the youth of all ages to come together and learn more about the United Methodist Church. They also have a chance to fellowship with other youth from around the country.

All of these events are important for the United Methodist Church, and they provide a chance for people from all walks of life to come together and learn more about the church. By hosting these events, the church can continue to grow and thrive. May God bless your church as you participate in these events!
